Science of Synthesis 20th Anniversary Virtual Symposium in Honor of Prof. Barry Trost

Science of Synthesis, a unique reference work covering synthetic methodology in the field of organic and organometallic chemistry, celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2020. To mark this occasion, and the remarkable career in organic synthesis of one of its founding editors, Prof. Barry M. Trost (Stanford University, USA), Thieme Chemistry is holding a virtual Web symposium with some of Professor Trosts' alumni.

The symposium will be moderated by Prof. Gary A. Molander (University of Pennsylvania, USA) and Science of Synthesis Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Alois Fürstner (MPI Mülheim, Germany).

The speakers on this occasion will be: Prof. Janine Cossy (ESPCI Paris, France), Prof. Mark Lautens (University of Toronto, Canada), and Prof. Nuno Maulide (University of Vienna, Austria). The alumni talks will be 3 × 25 minutes in length. Prof. Barry Trost will give a 30-minute talk on „Chemistry and Biology: Merging Sciences?“. There will be Q&A sessions.
