Online: Using AI Tools in Library Marketing

This presentation explores a variety of AI tools that can help to boost marketing and promotional efforts – from enhancing content creation to streamlining social media strategy. During this webinar, David Lee King will cover some general AI-related concepts and tools and how they can help in promotional efforts. Then he focuses on specific AI tools and services that can help strengthen website design and content and general marketing and promotion efforts. AI-related tools that can help fine-tune social media posts and campaigns are also discussed. Finally, the session examines some existing library AI policies and guidelines and will explore how they can support – or sometimes complicate – the day-to-day work of content creation, marketing, and promotion.

Attendees will leave with practical insights and realistic strategies for integrating AI into their workflows with confidence and care.

Presenter: David Lee King is the Digital Services Director at Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library, where he plans, implements, and experiments with emerging technology trends. He speaks internationally about emerging trends, social media, websites and libraries, and has been published in many library-related journals.

Nástroj Writefull byl speciálně navržen pro korekci odborných textů v angličtině. Od jiných obdobných nástrojů se liší především tím, že používá jazykové modely založené na umělé inteligenci (AI), a průběžně se „učí“ z textů milionů publikovaných odborných článků. Writefull koriguje gramatiku, použití odborné terminologie, interpunkci, pravopis a stylistiku.

Během semináře vás seznámíme se základní filozofií systému a ukážeme si, jak používat jednotlivé nástroje:

• Writefull for Word včetně funkce Ask AI – doplněk pro Microsoft Word, kde lze text průběžně kontrolovat během psaní
• Writefull for Overleaf – podobná funkcionalita, ale v oblíbeném LaTeX editoru Overleaf
• Writefull Revise – slouží ke korekci již připraveného textu
• Writefull Cite – umožňuje identifikovat části textu, k nimž by měly být doplněny chybějící odkazy na literaturu

Seminář proběhne online v češtině.

Online: Writefull - automatic proofreading of scientific writing

The Writefull is specially designed for proofreading professional texts in English. It differs from other similar tools mainly because it uses language models based on artificial intelligence (AI), and continuously „learns“ from the texts of millions of published scientific articles. Writefull corrects grammar, use of technical terminology, punctuation, spelling and stylistics.

During the seminar, we will introduce you to the basic philosophy of the system and show you how to use each tool:

• Writefull for Word – an add-in for Microsoft Word, where you can continuously check the text while writing
• Writefull for Overleaf – Writefull integrated into the LaTeX editor
• Writefull Revise – used to revise already prepared text
• Writefull Cite – allows to identify parts of the text where missing references should be added

The webinar will be held online in English.
