This year we are celebrating the Centennial of Dr Eugene Garfield, the visionary who founded the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) and pioneered citation indexing. His groundbreaking innovations laid the foundation for modern scientometrics and Web of Science. This event revisits the intellectual roots and evolving horizons of scientometrics.

The session traces the field’s transfor­mation from the early days of information retrieval to the contemporary challenges of research evaluation, responsible metrics, and open science.
