SciFlow & University Presses: Publishing a Diamond Open Access Journal in English or any local language

Libraries and University Presses support researchers in creating their Open Access Journals. Digital infrastructure and workflow tools like OJS or DSpace are hosted at the institution.

One missing workflow part in the past is the creation of production formats, like HTML, PDF, and JATS-XML. Often an MS Word file is converted into PDF, resulting in various problems such as poor mobile reading, inconsistent metadata, and time-consuming formatting or converting texts.

For the latest issue of the New American Studies Journal (NASJ), The University of Göttingen used SciFlow to convert manuscripts to PDF and HTML using SciFlow.

This master class will give insights into their workflow:
